Grow Your Small Creative Business with Social Media (Free Mini-Course!)

Quiltd started as an idea, a small whisper of a thought that maybe this would be worth my time and effort. But it took a lot of courage to take that actual first step into the unknown.

Putting Yourself Out There

You know that feeling? That step that involves putting yourself and your designs out into the world. It is truly terrifying if you haven't done it before. Many nights I lay awake staring at the ceiling hoping that Quiltd would work out.

And it did, eventually, after a lot of hard work. Growing Quiltd into what it is today largely took place because I was willing to try new things and embrace the unknown.

Social media marketing played a huge role in that growth and arguably made the biggest difference when growing my small creative business.

Social Media Marketing For Your Small Creative Business

Social media marketing is an important aspect of any small business's marketing strategy. It can help a small business reach and connect your target audience, increase brand awareness, and drive sales.

Here are a just a few reasons why social media marketing is so important for small businesses:

Reach a wider audience

Social media platforms have a huge user base, which means that small businesses can reach a wider audience through social media marketing.

I used Instagram Reels to reach a wider audience and it was incredibly effective. If you're a beginner, you can sign up for my Beginner Reels Course HERE

Increase brand awareness

Social media allows you to showcase your brand, products, and services to a wider audience. By consistently posting engaging content, small businesses can increase their brand awareness and reach more potential customers.

Improve customer engagement

Social media encourages you to directly interact with their customers. By responding to comments and messages, small businesses can show their customers that they care and are willing to listen to their feedback.

Drive website traffic and sales

Social media marketing can help drive traffic to your website or newsletter and ultimately lead to more sales. By including links to a website in social media posts, you can encourage your followers to visit the site and make a purchase.

Cost-effective

Social media marketing is a relatively low-cost marketing option for small businesses. It can be done in-house and does not require a large budget for advertising.

This cannot be overstated, you do not own social media but you can use it for free! In the past year I spent probably $300 on Facebook/Instagram ads (mostly for courses!) and that was about it! All of the growth that I saw was organically driven (and free!).

Targeted advertising

Social media platforms offer targeted advertising options, which allow small businesses to reach their specific target audience. This can be especially useful for small businesses with a niche product or service.

If you do have a marketing budget, even just spending $25/month on a few of your most successful posts/Reels is helpful.

Stay relevant

With the constantly changing landscape of social media, it's important for small businesses to stay up to date and active on social media. By consistently posting and engaging with your audience, you can remain relevant
